Application Procedure
The steps for application and admission to FAITH LUTHERAN SCHOOL are listed below. Should you have any questions, please contact the school office at (972) 423-7448.Step 1: Upon initial inquiry the school office will schedule a pre-enrollment interview with the principal and parents in order to present information about our mission statement and philosophy of Christian education. The principal will outline the Classical model of education and how it is utilized here at Faith Lutheran School. He will also discuss expectations of the family as well as the school. The principal will conduct a tour of the facility.
Step 2: The principal will provide you with an information folder. Enrollment applications are included in the left pocket of this folder.
Step 3: Fill out the entire enrollment application. Parents or guardians must sign and date the form.
Step 4: The application form should be turned in to the school office along with at least one half the registration fee for each new student enrolled.
- An Academic and Personal Evaluation survey is included in the application packet. This should be completed by the student's previous teacher for students in Grades 1 - 8.
- Parents should provide a copy of the student's latest report card and latest standardized achievement test if the students are in grades 2-8.
- An entrance test may be administered if the principal feels it is necessary for proper assessment of the student's needs.
Step 5: All Kindergarten and First Grade students will be administered a readiness test.
Step 6: A decision on enrollment will be made by Faith Lutheran School's Admissions Committee. The school office or principal will contact you after the committee has met.
Step 7: The necessary emergency information forms must be completed, notarized and returned to the school office. (A member of the office staff is a notary public and will provide this service to you at no charge.)
Step 8: A copy of the new student's birth certificate and current immunization record must be provided.
Step 9: At least one half of the registration fee must be paid when new student application forms are returned and the remainder paid by June 1 (previous to the beginning of the school year).
